🐩 Bluetooth Remote Shutter Not Working
If I need to go longer, I use a watch or count out the seconds as 21, 22, 23 etc. And via remote the bulb mode on Sonys acts as if it were a T mode: first remote signal opens the shutter, second (say 50 sec later) remote signal closes it. Maybe timed remote release beyond 30 sec is possible via cell phone apps. Who knows?
This clearly shows where to attach a remote release cable and explains how to adapt the standard Fujifilm remote release cable to work with the X-S10. Specifically see item 22 in the diagram at the URL (or the camera diagram in the user manual). Remarkable that tech support would deny the existence of a feature.
However lately I have just been using the delay shutter function as I have it setup up in my I menu and it is so easy to use. So my shutter release has stayed in my bag the last couple of times I went out. 1. The fuji Remote Release RR-90 works as intended, no issues on the 50S. The only problem I've seen is that people often mistake the socket that it plugs into! For the 50R, you need the Remote Release RR-100 (Which also works for the 50S) - not tried that one yet. So the Pixel TW-283 looks like it'll work for the 50S but not for the 50R FWIW.

The only reason I can see to connect the XPro to the camera via shutter cable is to have a makeshift wired remote shutter release. That seems an awkward arrangement at best and one which you would not likely keep the XPro mounted in the camera's hot-shoe. Just how that arrangement would work with the XPro in the hot-shoe is unknown. John
Go Hands Free with a Bluetooth Trigger . Now if you aren't totally sold on the idea of using a shutter release cable (maybe you're afraid of pulling on the cable or you want the ability to snap the shots in quick succession without returning to your smartphone and the tripod to do so) you may want to pick up a Bluetooth shutter button.
